JUNGMANN TEA PART 2007-10-05

The second annual Jungmann Tea Part took place as scheduled on 4th August 2007 at Compton Abbas Airfield. The summer finally arrived and we were delighted to welcome 9 sensational examples of the type.

Our thanks go to David Morgan for entertaining the crowds with a mesmerising aerobatic display in the Yak 50.

The highlight of the day had to be when Hugh Wilson led a formation fly-past of 8 of the Jungmann, which was greeted from the ground with a standing ovation, even the applause could not be drowned out.

We have put together as many pictures as possible, to help you relive the occasion and hope that you enjoy them.

On the day we were asked if it would be possible to create a forum on our site, to allow discussion between like minded individuals. This has been in development and will be live very shortly so please come back and check on the site.

Next Year’s Tea Party is a little earlier in the year and we are delighted that Compton Abbas have allowed us the 5th July 2008 (put it in your diaries). We hope that the event will continue to grow in the lead up to the 75th Anniversary Celebrations in 2009.

We are very grateful to the Hughes family and all their staff for the use of the facilities and keeping us all so well nourished during such a hot day. Last but not least we are as always indebted to Annabelle and Hugh, without whose efforts the Tea Party would never have got off the ground.
