Neville Duke Day, 17th August 2008

The event was a tribute to Neville Duke - a great pilot in the war and a leading test pilot afterwards.

It was a fair weather day and we did Charity flights all day raising just over £1000 for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. Many of Neville Dukes family, friends and former colleagues attended and all together it was a wonderful day.

Flying wise – we were fortunate to have Neville Dukes own Private Aircraft Grumman G-ZERO owned by Emery Little and Piper G-AFFW present all day and flying members of the public around the local area for donations. Also the Optica from Thruxton that Neville Duke used to fly and also the Air Ambulance Helicopter and crew were offering public viewings of the aircraft all afternoon.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, everyone who came and supported us and to Gwen Duke for making it a very successful and enjoyable day
